During this course you will explore the work of three key German Expressionists: Paula Modersohn- Becker, Franz Marc and Gabriele Münter.

Known for their bold outlines and vibrant colours, this course will help you to gain confidence with using colour and mark- making. We will look at their landscapes, animal paintings and Still Life’s and in the third session, you will have a chance to develop your own composition inspired by their work.

We will explore using a palette knife, using a coloured ground, using thin washes, building up glazes and exploring texture. This will be a fun and experimental course where you can build confidence and develop your own style. Suitable for all abilities. 

Basic materials provided, although we recommend bringing your own paintbrushes if you have them - a selection of flat headed and pointed round brushes are ideal.

Participants must be 18 or over.

Refund/transfer and Cancellation Policy: We are unable to offer full or part cash refunds, but you are eligible for an RWA gift voucher or transfer, minus an admin fee*, provided you notify us more than 14 days before the start of your class with us. If we cancel a course or workshop for any reason, then participants will be offered a different date, course/workshop or RWA gift voucher.
