We are open Tuesday - Sunday: 10am – 5pm
Closed Mondays (except for spring and summer Bank Holidays, open 10am - 5pm).
Tours
We have tours of the main exhibition every Tuesday 12 -1pm which are complementary with your ticket. No need to book. Please ask at the Welcome Desk for more details.
PLEASE NOTE
Due to events being held at the RWA, we sometimes need to close our upstairs galleries early: please see early closing days for details.
Ticket Prices
While much of our building is free to visit, as an independent charity we rely on ticket income for our exhibitions to support our work.
Main Exhibition Ticket Prices:
- Annual Art Pass: £16 (visit as many times as you wish for a full year)
- Adult day ticket: £9.90 (includes optional £1 donation, eligible for gift aid)
- Concession* day ticket: £5.45 (includes optional 55p donation, eligible for gift aid)
- Free admission** for Friends of the RWA, RWA Art Pass Holders, under 21s, students (please bring student ID).
* A concessionary rate is available for Disabled people (required companion free); people on universal credit; Art Fund card holders
** Entry is free for all RWA Members (Patrons, Friends, Academicians, Artists Network); all under 21s; all FE & HE students with valid student ID; required companion for disabled people; Museums Association, AIM or SWFed members).
Group Visits
We offer a discounted group rate for pre-booked groups of 10 or more visitors at £7.50 per person, which may include a welcome introduction. The group tickets can be paid in advance over the phone (contact info@rwa.org.uk for details or ring on 0117 973 5129) or on the day with payment on one card only please.
For Schools, Colleges and Learning Group visits please fill out the School Group Booking Form and return to info@rwa.org.uk.

Accessible Parking
There is one accessible parking space at the RWA. This can be booked in advance of your visit by calling 0117 906 7632 or emailing info@rwa.org.uk and is subject to availability.
Minibus drop offs
Groups who need to get as close as possible to the entrance may be dropped off on the forecourt, but please note this should be by prior appointment by contacting our Visitor Experience Manager on 0117 906 7602. Minibuses can then park using the limited on-street parking nearby (pay and display). Please note tickets are required for the exhibition.
