About RWA Drawing School
The RWA Drawing School (formerly Bristol Drawing School) is a hub for adult creativity and artistic learning. View all art classes and workshops.
The school offers a wide range of courses and workshops, with something to suit every skill level. Students benefit from full access to the RWA’s facilities, including free entrance to exhibitions during courses and workshops – a fantastic space to be inspired.
The school began in 2007 with the aim of celebrating the importance and diversity of drawing. In 2011 it moved from Paintworks to the RWA and has continued to offer a diverse range of courses and workshops ever since.
We will be hosting our RWA Drawing School classes at Hamilton House, while the RWA undergoes the transformational Light and Inspiration project before reopening in early 2022. Hamilton House is a monolithic 1970’s building in Stokes Croft at the heart of Bristol's independent cultural quarter. It is home to a community of designer-makers, creatives and entrepreneurs with a mixture of workspaces include coworking, artists’ studios and offices. Find out about how to get there and the facilities here.
