Coming up during Cosmos: the art of observing Space:
- Saturday 07 February - with 'Cosmos' exhibition curator Ione Parkin RWA and Kathryn Johnson, RWA Head of Exhibitions - standing, main galleries
- Saturday 07 March with Simon Hitchens RWA - standing, main galleries.
- Saturday 04 April with Melissa Wraxall. For thousands of years, humans across the globe have keenly observed the cycles of the night sky, weaving mythology into the seasonal and navigational star knowledge they needed to survive. To complement the RWA show Cosmos, join Australian born, Bath based painter Melissa Wraxall, for insights into the celestial knowledge of First Nations people from Australasia, in “Southern Skies – contemporary Aboriginal responses to the cosmos”. This is a seated talk, in the Youngwood Room.
