Maytime Merriment
16 May 2024
Thursday 16 May 2024 | 2pm - 3pm and 3.15pm - 4.15pm | FREE
This art activity is for people living with dementia and their companions.
Inspired by traditional May festivities, we will look closely at the carved oak sculpture in our Handling Collection called Young Hare, alongside an abundance of spring flowers to smell and touch.
Join us for a fun workshop creating your own hare-inspired artwork and colourful flowers. We'll show you a few examples of ways to play around with the materials, then you'll be free to experiment. Whether you are a complete beginner or a fully-fledged artist, if you have dementia or care for someone who does, this is for you.
To make sure plenty of people get time to handle the Young Hare sculpture and make an artwork, we've divided this workshop into two 1 hour time slots, please only book on to one.
We are hosting this workshop in support of Dementia Action Week
