Saturday 21st December 2:00 – 4:00pm
Join paper-cutting artist Sarah Dennis for a design-and-make workshop taking inspiration from the cityscapes in the exhibition 'Africa State of Mind' and referencing the work of artist Lotte Reiniger, some of which can be seen in the 'Refuge and Renewal' exhibition.
You will explore cutting techniques to achieve an impressive cityscape of your own. Perhaps yours will be Bristol, another city, or perhaps it will be entirely imaginary!
You can then design further paper-cut artworks, perfecting your technique by the end of the workshop. You will even have pieces finished in time to give to someone as a Christmas gift.
Suitable for ages 7+. Parents must remain in the building but are encouraged to enjoy the cafe, galleries and RWA shop while their children are in the workshop.
