Tuesday 30th August 2022 10am – 12pm

Join artist Anna Haydock-Wilson for a fun and playful workshop exploring many ways of drawing the natures networks.

Beginning with leaf rubbings and colourful mono prints we will explore what happens above and below ground, imagining pollen in the air and fungi underground. Everyone will create a leaf print to take home.
Once we have practiced the leaf printing, and while they are drying, together we will use pencils, pastels and charcoal to draw a giant tree with tangled roots.
Returning to the leaf printing we will cover the tree with leaves from many of Bristol’s trees collected from parks and open spaces that the children may have visited.
This drawing workshop combines use of natural materials and mark making encouraging all participants to share stories and knowledge of their neighbourhoods to enable a feeling of connection with each other, their city and the environment.

Suitable for ages 5+.

Parents/Carers must remain in the building but are encouraged to enjoy the café, galleries and RWA shop while their children are in the workshop. Parents/Carers will receive complimentary exhibition entry.
