With a focus on drawing, artist Jessica Bartlett will show you how to use a pyrography tool to burn drawings freehand into a piece of wood. It is great for becoming more free with your drawing and not worrying - the burning process is permanent so no rubbing out! We will explore the different lines and marks achievable with the tool to create our own unique artwork.

This workshop is inspired by our exhibition Earth: Digging Deep in British Art 1781 - 2022 running 9 Jul - 11 Sep 2022.

A risk assessment will be available concerning the use of heated tools.

Suitable for ages 9+.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
