Art Skills 7-11's - Abstract Acrylics with Elena Hayward

Join artist Elena Hayward this February half term for a workshop creating abstract masterpieces from acrylic paint, paper and household items, inspired by our exhibition: These Mad Hybrids: John Hoyland and Contemporary Sculpture (03 February - 12 May 2024)
In this session, Elena will encourage you to be experimental and create interesting forms and shapes using items such as straws, toothbrushes and masking tape. You will be shown how to use colour theory and acrylic paint techniques to create bold, vibrant pieces of art to take home and enjoy.
Suitable for children ages 7 - 11.
Limited places available - booking recommended.
Adults must remain in the building but are encouraged to enjoy the café, galleries and RWA shop while their children are in the workshop. Accompanying Adults will receive complimentary exhibition entry.
