By becoming a Patron you will be able to share your passion for art through a close relationship with the RWA and its Academicians.
The support of Patrons is vital in enabling us to fulfil our role as a regional centre for excellence in the visual arts and continue to showcase exceptional talent and bring the best of British and international art to Bristol. It also enables us to deliver life-enhancing creative engagement to some of the most under-served communities across the city.
All levels of Patron membership now include complimentary membership of the Friends of the RWA (a separate charity), with all the benefits and opportunities afforded to Friends members, in addition to the extra, exclusive benefits offered to Patrons as outlined below:
Levels of Patronage
Bronze Patrons
£400 annually (£300 donation, £100 cost of benefits)
- Complimentary ticket for you (and a guest) for all paid for exhibitions
- Invitation to all exhibition private views for you and a guest (24-hour priority booking)
- Invitation to annual Director’s lunch
- Attend two events of your choice, from our Bespoke Annual Patron Club programme of events
- Invitations to all Friends of the RWA events
- Invitation to our annual celebration event (December)
- Online and onsite recognition (optional)
Silver Patrons
£1,250 annually (£1,000 donation, £250 cost of benefits)
Silver includes all the benefits that Bronze Patrons enjoy plus:
- An invitation to a studio visit with an RWA Academician
- £20 annual café & retail voucher
- Patron venue hire rates (max £50 value per year)
Gold Patrons
£3,000 annually (£2,650 donation, £350 cost of benefits)
Gold includes all the benefits that Bronze and Silver Patrons enjoy plus:
- Bespoke tour or talk at the RWA for a group of 10 guests
- Exclusive access to RWA Chair of the Board, President and Director

All levels of membership comprise an element of benefits representing the cost to the RWA, along with a donation to the charity. The donation element of your membership may be eligible for Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer and have signed a valid Gift aid declaration. this allows the RWA to reclaim tax on your donation at no extra cost to you.
