The Human Dance
28 April - 21 June 2026
THIS EXHIBITION HAS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE VIEW OUR CURRENT AND UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS.
Curated by Anna Gillespie RWA
Featuring Lidija Antanasijević RWA, Yvonne Crossley RWA, Anna Gillespie RWA, Debbie Locke RWA and Tim Shaw RA, RWA (Hon).
The artists in this exhibition are fascinated by the expressive force of raw dance and movement. Across sculpture, print, drawing and installation, dance is portrayed as an inherent part of what it is to be human - to express joy and grief, to live with the harsh realities of ageing or displacement, and to engage in ritual. Dance is the hidden language of the soul.
