I believe that the RWA is advocating for the interests of visual arts in a challenging time for the Arts. With over 25 years experience of teaching in schools, and colleges I have seen how transformative making, studying and understanding Art can be for people of all ages and backgrounds. By curating a fantastic, diverse exhibition programme and offering artists and the community opportunities for learning and networking it contributes to the continuing tradition of artistic excellence and innovation.
I would continue to submit work to RWA exhibitions, I would also be keen to support Outreach programmes by volunteering or serving on committees. I would aim to advocate for and promote the work of the RWA in the rural, western counties of Herefordshire and Shropshire (only 70 miles from Bristol)
