Sukina Noor Poetry Workshop
7 & 14 June 2026
Select your tickets:
Bristol City Poet, Sukina Noor invites participants to step into the rhythm of Dance Out, with this poetry workshop, using the exhibition itself as a living, breathing writing prompt. Set within the bright, open exhibition space, participants will write amongst the artworks, moving between observation, reflection and creative response as they explore the exhibition in an immersive and interactive way.
Through guided prompts and gentle writing exercises, we will explore dance not only as movement, but as memory, identity, ritual and connection. Participants will craft poems that explore the body in motion, the choreography of everyday life, and the sacredness of dance.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen our dialogue with art through writing, using poetry as a way of interacting with the exhibition and exploring where the artwork lands within us.
Open to all levels of experience and all members of the public, this is a relaxed, inclusive workshop. Participants may stay for the full two hours or drop in and move through the prompts at their own pace. The flexible format is designed with accessibility in mind, including those with chronic fatigue or fluctuating energy levels.
*This workshop is free with an exhibition ticket. Please book a space on this page so we know you can attend, and make sure to buy an exhibition ticket on the day. Information on our ticket pricing can be found here.
