The RWA is delighted to invite RWA Members (Friends of the RWA, Academicians, Artist Network members and Patrons) to an evening of practical advice on Wills, future planning and helping future generations enjoy a lifelong journey with art. 

Join us for an informative and engaging evening surrounded by the incredible artwork of the Annual Open Exhibition. Together, we will explore the importance of planning for the future, both for yourself and for the causes you care about, and consider how thoughtful planning can help ensure future generations enjoy their own lifelong journey with art.  

Wards' Senior Partner Ruth Coles will give an engaging and accessible talk on Wills and future planning. The talk will cover current best practice in estate planning. The evening is designed to be informative without being technical, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed and welcoming setting.  It will include; 

• Why having the right arrangements in place matters, what can happen when plans are not made 
• How proposed changes to the law may affect us all.  
• Considerations relevant to later marriages and blended families, where careful planning can help protect loved ones and ensure your wishes are clearly understood. 
• Lasting powers of attorney 
• How charitable gifts in a Will can form part of wider inheritance tax planning. She will also explore how a legacy gift, of any size, can help support the organisations and communities that have mattered throughout your lifetime.
