Twilight: The Blue Hour
10 March - 26 April 2026
Curated by Judith Jones RWA
Featuring Ros Cuthbert RWA, Stephen Jacobson RWA and Judith Jones RWA
The ‘blue hour’ of twilight is the transition between day and night, and from night to day. It is a magical time, in which spaces become dreamlike.
The artworks in this exhibition examine and capture the liminal and fleeting atmosphere of twilight. The transitional ‘blue hour’ inspires intriguing and ambiguous narratives, within spaces that are fascinating and sometimes disconcerting.
Judith Jones RWA, curator and exhibiting artist, invites you to “Come in and explore the ‘windows to the outside’: watch the work on the television, draw a sketch of what you think happens next and look at the books provided...stop for a moment and be still in the ‘blue hour’ that exists each day.”
