Cynthia Lear
I have exhibited at the RWA for over forty years and was elected an Academician in 1981. I was also elected a member of Bath Society of Artists in 1974.
I have exhibited in galleries in Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Gloucestershire, and also the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. My work is held in many private collections here in the UK and abroad.
My paintings are usually inspired by natural forms such as flowers, trees, rocks, landscapes but particularly flowers where often I incorporate patterns and design. I am inspired by bearded irises, tulips and lilies and I have often used these flowers as a source of inspiration.
