Magazine Portrait Collage

This workshop is about creating a self-portrait using collage from old magazines.

Suitable for ages 10 and up, the workshop takes about 1.5 hours.

You will need: old magazines, A4 paper, PVA glue, a mirror, a pencil, timer, coloured pencils or pens

Create your own paper construction which is inspired by Peter Burke RWA and the Folly exhibition.

Create a geometric artwork using folded paper, bold black lines, and colourful decoration inspired by Rachael Nee.

Use card and glue to create a 3D monster and customise it with pens to create your own unique creature.

Create a bubble painting inspired by Dallas Collins’s Many Worlds (2024).
