Dance Out - Opening Day Friends Talk
We are delighted to invite Friends of the RWA to an extra special performance to celebrate the opening of our new exhibition: Dance Out
Saturday 09 May
11am
Royal West of England Academy, Queens Road Clifton BS8 1PX
Dance Out is a spectacular exhibition of paintings, drawings and film that celebrate dance as an everyday human activity, both solitary and social, co-curated by David Remfry RA, with James Russell.
In a new immersive installation, artist Melanie Manchot shows a film ‘Night Moves’ made in Bristol with local dancers and commissioned by the RWA for this exhibition.
One of the stars of Manchot's film - ballet dance Rosy Pigott will perform live exclusively for the Friends of the RWA, and chat about her career and experience of appearing in a new artwork by Manchot.
