Samantha Buckley
Samantha Buckley is an artist specialising in Indian miniature painting.
She completed her MA in Traditional arts at The School for traditional arts in London ,20 years ago , and since then has lived in India for a year working in a traditional studio , where she continued to extend her knowledge of the craft.
Samantha has been involved in a number of exhibitions , including Johnathan Cooper Gallery, The Aga Khan gallery, and Bath Art fair.
She has been invited to complete a number of commissions in Saudi Arabia, where she also teaches her craft. Other commissions include designing a ceramic range for His Majesty The King , celebrating his 60th birthday, and a range inspired by his love of rare breed chickens .
Teaching is an important part of this tradition and so Samantha has been passing on her knowledge through various educational institutes , including The School of traditional Art, and Royal West Arts in Bristol.
