In this watercolour painting workshop, set in the stunning surroundings of University of Bristol Botanic Gardens, participants will have the chance to study and paint the elusive and beautiful garden hero – the solitary bee. Participants will study their amazing lifecycle; look closer at their beautiful anatomy and features and find out why they are such prolific pollinators. Each student will have access to their own high powered microscope and specimens to study the anatomical beauty of these charismatic insects. Participants will then use either microscopes or macro photographs to produce a detailed and unique painting.
