Tutor - Jill Carter
Saturday 16 July, 10.30am-4.30pm, and Sunday 17 July, 10.30am-3.30pm
This class will be taking place in person at The RWA Drawing School Studio at the Royal West of England Academy. If government restrictions prevent this, due to Covid, this workshop will take place on Zoom.
Enjoy journeying through visual storytelling to explore and expand on themes of Self, people and place, inspired by memories, dreams, hopes and aspirations, both real and imagined.
Have fun transforming your photographs, less than perfect drawings, prints, paintings or found ephemera, into layered collage, adding writing, mark making and inky badly behaved this and that, to create playful yet poetic sketchbook or journal imagery.
Jill says…'A journal or sketchbook is just for you, offering a space to muse on ideas, thoughts, and endless imaginative possibilities. The journaling process allows you to develop your unique expression, develop insight and personal well-being too.'
Suitable for all abilities.
All drawing materials and supplementary papers provided, although you will need to bring your own sketchbook/journal, a photo that you don't mind incorporating into your work, and some collage materials to personalise your journal. Please wear clothes suitable for a studio environment and make sure you have a bag for taking work home with you at the end of the second day.
This class will be taking place at the RWA Drawing School Studio, Royal West of England Academy, BS8 1PX
