To celebrate the launch of the book that accompanies this exhibition, join us for an exclusive in-conversation with sculptor and exhibition curator Olivia Bax, art critic Sam Cornish, sculptor John Summers and art historian James Fisher. The talk will  shed light on the artistic context and creative process of the work on display by artists including Caroline Achaintre, Eric Bainbridge, Phyllida Barlow, Olivia Bax, Hew Locke, Anna Reading, Jessi Reaves, Andrew Sabin, John Summers and Chiffon Thomas.

Up for discussion amongst other things are: How and why could a sculpture be funny? How did sculpture help painter John Hoyland rethink the relationship between his canvas and the world?

Secure your signed copy by pre-ordering here. Additionally, books will be available for purchase during the event and in the RWA shop throughout the exhibition.

Bar and refreshments available.

If you have any access needs or need to use our accessible parking space, please let us know by emailing info@rwa.org.uk.
