This workshop will take you through a three stage process to producing an oil portrait from a live model. Day one will be focused on constructing a characterful drawing which will be the foundation for a tonal painting in burnt umber. On day two the focus will be on colour and further modelling of form. Advice will be given on drawing, mixing tone and mixing colours from direct observation of the model. Previous experience of drawing and painting is necessary.
