2-day workshop

Saturday 5 April, 10.30am - 4.30pm and Sunday 6 April 2025, 10.30am - 3.30pm 

This two day workshop will see you create your own Indian elephant using the traditional techniques of Indian painting. Participants will learn and prepare their own paper using agate stones and their own paints from pigments and gum Arabic. Finally they will finish their painting with fine detail associated with Indian miniature painting. Suitable for all abilities.

All basic materials provided for this workshop, although we recommend bringing your own brushes if you have them, ranging from very, very small to medium in size. Samantha specifically suggests size 5/6, 2, and some 0, 00 watercolour brushes. Please bring an apron or wear clothes suitable for an art studio. You may also wish to consider bring a plastic bag in which to take wet work home with you on Day 2.

Participants must be 16 or over.

If eligible, discounts must be applied when first purchasing your class and cannot be given retrospectively. Please contact us if the discount code is not working.

If you have a disability, learning difficulty or mental health issue which you feel may affect your participation in your chosen class, please either email drawingschool@rwa.org.uk or call 07745694563, prior to booking, so we are aware of any needs you may have.

Refund/transfer and Cancellation Policy: We are unable to offer full or part cash refunds, but you are eligible for an RWA gift voucher or transfer, minus an admin fee*, provided you notify us more than 14 days before the start of your class with us. If we cancel a course or workshop for any reason, then participants will be offered a different date, course/workshop or RWA gift voucher.
