Its rooms house tapestries, furniture, pictures and relics of the Cromwellian period.  Frequently used as a location for film and TV productions, including Poldark, Wolf Hall, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, and Rivals, Chavenage has also featured in a recent documentary series,\u003cem\u003e Saving Country Houses\u003c\/em\u003e and an earlier documentary investigating paranormal occurrences, \u003cem\u003eThe Curious House Guest. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom Chavenage we go on to Cirencester where there will be time to have lunch and to explore this historic town, the site of Corinium, Roman Britain’s second largest city.
