The Friends of the RWA Trips and Visits Committee are delighted to present their program for 2025: 

Wightwick Manor and Gardens, and Bridgnorth - Tuesday 11 March 2025

This interesting house, now in the care of the National Trust, was built in 1887 for the Manders family and equipped with central heating and electric lighting. Decorated and furnished from the William Morris shop and catalogue, the house expressed the Manders’ enthusiasm for the aestheticism of the Arts and Crafts Movement

Nature in Art and Gloucester – Thursday 24 April 2025

On the outskirts of Gloucester, and housed in a Georgian mansion, Nature in Art is a museum and gallery dedicated to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature.  The visit begins with a talk which provides an introduction to the collection and current exhibitions, which you are then free to explore.

Mottisfont House and Gardens, and Romsey – Wednesday 11 June 2025

The visit to Mottisfont in Hampshire is scheduled for June to enable you to experience the famous Rose Gardens at the very best moment.  We have secured one of the very sought-after group visit bookings.  A talk and guided tours of the garden are available. The 18th century house which  has a medieval priory at its heart was, in the 1930s,  transformed into a Neo-classical home.  There is a permanent collection of 20th century art on display and changing exhibitions.
