Simon Hitchens RWA: Wednesday 6 December- 6-7pm
A talk for Friends of the RWA
Join us in the Youngwood Room at the RWA at 6pm on Wednesday the 6 December for a talk by Academician Simon Hitchens RWA. Simon will be giving a talk about his ongoing fascination on the themes of Time and Transience, how those are explored directly in the making of his durational day drawings and the associated shadow sculptures (one of which is currently on view in the RWA 170th Annual Open). Simon will discuss the techniques of making these works and their inspirations and relevance's, through focusing on the body of work currently displayed at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury, titled Parallels.’
