Elaine Cooper is an master papermaker, and a specialist in making washi - Japanese handmade paper. Elaine was an apprentice to a Japanese Master for 10 years. Now she continues his family heritage in Japan. Elaine is also a designer and RWA Drawing School tutor.
She divide's work between the UK and Japan. As an accompaniment to the RWA Biennial Paper Works, we are delighted to present a talk all about the art of washi and how she became a washi papermaker.
Please note: If you book a place at this talk but cannot attend for any reason, please cancel officially either by contacting us or via your confirmation email, so that someone else may take your place.
