St Paul's Dark Rooms, St Paul's Learning Centre, 94 Grosvenor Road, Bristol, BS2 8XJ

Experience the origins of capturing light in and out of a traditional photographic darkroom with world expert Justin Quinnell in this free family workshop.

Learn how to use a pinhole camera to take self portraits, including an infamous 'Awfullogramme', and watch your paper negatives magically appear in the photographic chemistry.

Then create your own turmeric images with plant based materials using a process which can be continued at home with materials found in your kitchen.

All materials provided. Suitable for ages 7+

A number of tickets are reserved for those local to St Paul's Learning Centre. When booking please select 'St Paul's Resident' if you live in St Paul's, Bristol and 'General Admission' if you do not. 

Parents/Carers must remain with their children for the duration of the session
