This Zoom workshop is for all the family to enjoy together - FREE!

How do we know that Spring is really coming? The weather-lore of old indicates that by watching the behaviour of badgers and hedgehogs we can find out how long the winter will last. We are going to look forward with optimism to a bright Spring by watching the behaviour of our very own hedgehog!

Thanks to Hedgehog Rescue, this is your chance to meet a real hedgehog up close (on Zoom). You will have the opportunity to try all sorts of quick drawing exercises to try and capture the hedgehog in some dynamic drawings. This workshop is accessible for the youngest in the family right through to the oldest. The first drawing will be a simple stylised drawing with step-by-step instructions that everyone can follow. Then there will be plenty of time for children with longer attention spans to try drawing the hedgehog in different positions, and as it moves around. Abigail Reed, an artist with expertise in animal drawing, will be your guide. 

The materials you need for this workshop are any drawing materials you have around the house, for example: Paper, pencils, pens, soft pastels, oil pastels, crayons, charcoal, erasers.  

This workshop is being held on Zoom. Please book onto the workshop, then at least one day before the workshop you will be sent the Zoom meeting details and password. Adults must stay in the room with their children for the duration of the workshop for safeguarding reasons.
