In conjunction with the Fire exhibition, Bristol sculptor Joanna Williams of Fire Iron Art and Simon Bushell will be on the RWA forecourt with the mobile 'Nowhere Forge' to demonstrate the art of the blacksmith.
Watch the artists at work wielding hammer and tongs over hot coals for as long or short a time as you wish. You can find out about the process as it is demonstrated in front of you. Joanna and Simon will work on the anvil and forge, using heat to manipulate iron and steel into wonderful shapes.
Suitable for all ages - pedestrian barriers will keep visitors at a safe distance.
