Artist Shani Rhys James MBE and writer Jennifer Higgie will discuss self-portraiture and the role it has played for women artists over time. The conversation, chaired by curator and writer Tessa Jackson, will explore how defiance, rebellion, visibility and empowerment have all been important motivations.
