I make abstract work - usually drawing, often minimalist and repetitive - inspired by the patterns and processes of Nature and our landscape, especially the interplay between chaos and order. I am increasingly interested in what is unseen, hidden, erased or yet to be revealed, so erasure and redaction have become a recurring theme in my work. I am exploring the notion that nothing is ever completely eradicated: barely perceptible traces of every action remain like DNA signatures capable of being read by those with the knowledge and technology. These traces affect what follows, whether we know it or not.

I live and work on the Dorset Jurassic Coast where the landscape eternally delights and inspires me.
