Tutor: Francesca Berlingieri Maxwell

Acrylic ink is a versatile medium - it has the immediacy of watercolour with a strong vibrancy of pigment. When dry it can be built up in transparent layers creating depth and subtle tones. It can be used in combination with other mediums like acrylic, oil and wax pastels, collage and watercolour.

During this one-day workshop, experience this medium's different uses and applications through quick sketches and more lengthy processes, testing it on wet and dry paper, applying it with brushes and other tools, layering it exploring various colour effects and using it in combination with other techniques.
