Tutor: Ian Knowles

Led by professional iconographer and Director of the Bethlehem Icon School, Ian Knowles, this rewarding workshop will introduce participants to the ancient medium of egg tempera, used to create a simple icon. Students will learn this fascinating technique through step-by-step demonstrations. Fee includes a prepared gesso board. Suitable for beginners.


Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking.
If we cancel a course or workshop for whatever reason then you will be offered a different date, workshop/course, or a full refund.

10.30am - 4.30pm (Friday and Saturday), 11am - 4pm (Sunday)

Ability levels: All abilities, including beginners

All basic materials provided, including a prepared gesso board per participant - although if you have any of your own pointed round sable hair watercolour brushes, please do bring them. We advise bringing an apron to the sessions
