New ’pup-up’ home for The Greatest Dog Show on Earth exhibition
The Greatest Dog Show on Earth is moving! Due to unprecedented public interest the exhibition will be moving from the Royal West of England Academy to Beacon House (the former Habitat store), which is just next door on Queens Road.
Beacon House will provide an even larger capacity to house all 80 Gromits and manage the high volume of people expected to visit the exhibition, ensuring the best display for visitors! Each sculpture will be displayed in dog show categories, including Rare Breeds, Working Dogs, Toy Dogs, Bristol Dogs, Space Dogs and Best in Show.
The exhibition will be run in association with the RWA and will still take place from 18th to 22nd September with new, extended opening hours. The exhibition will be open daily from 9am to 6pm Wednesday to Friday, open late until 7pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday (with last admission 30 minutes before closing). Entry for adults will be £4 each, with a concession for 12 to 18 year olds at £2 each. Children aged up to 11 can enter for free!
Entry will be on a first come, first serve basis, so make sure you get down and get your place in the queue. The Grand Appeal will also be selling a range of Gromit Unleashed merchandise at the exhibition, including our popular small Gromit figurines, featuring selected artists designs!
This will be the only chance to see all 80 Gromit sculptures together before they are auctioned to raise funds for Bristol Children's Hospital. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to place a sealed bid prior to the Gromit Unleashed auction, taking place on 3 October. Bidders must also pre-register to bid at the auction at email@example.com
All profits raised by the Gromit Unleashed auction will go towards the Grand Appeal’s £3.5m fundraising campaign to support the expansion of Bristol Children’s Hospital.

The RWA will be open as normal during The Greatest Dog Show on Earth and we hope that visitors to the exhibition take the chance to stop by, say hello, grab a coffee or a bite to eat and visit our galleries.
