The RWA delivers a programme of one day Art History Day Schools delivered by recognised tutors and Academics providing an introduction to a number of artists, art historical movements and theory.

Wednesday 9th May 6.30pm doors open, event 6.45-8.30pm

Taylor Wessing and AOP award-winning London photographer Jim Naughten will talk about his work. Best known for his acclaimed series 'Re-enactors', Naughten will present work from this as well as his latest series on Namibian tribe members, 'Hereros', at the event, a collaboration between Second Look and the RWA.

How to Photograph Artwork

1 day workshop learning how to photograph your artwork professionally, led by Stephen Morris.

In the summer of 2009, Bristol saw a remarkable phenomenon that made international news. An estimated 300,000 people queued for hours, often in pouring rain, for admission to the city's museum and art gallery having been attracted by the media hype surrounding an exhibition ambiguously entitled, Banksy vs the Bristol Museum.
