The Royal West of England Academy (RWA) is a registered charity (charity number 1070163) but we do not receive any regular local or national Government funding to fund our exhibitions and maintain our beautiful building. We are therefore required to charge an entrance fee and long-term survival of the RWA is dependent on the number of visitors we have per year and the money we can raise from external sources.

We rely on your support and there are many ways in which you can help us. As an individual, you can join our Friends membership scheme, which will provide you with a whole range of benefits to take advantage of throughout the year, or you could become a Patron and give greater support in return for a wider choice of opportunities.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the RWA and we are always delighted to welcome new volunteers to our team. There are opportunities in all aspects of the RWA's work and we would love to hear from you if you feel you could give us some of your time.

If you would like to make a donation to the RWA, whether it is a one-off donation or a regular gift, there are different payment options available: please contact us, and thank you for your support - every pound helps!

The RWA is managed by independent Trustees supported by a small executive team and a large number of volunteers who give freely of their time.
