Rita Greig's early training was as a Designer followed by art teaching for Devon County Council. She lives is South Devon with her husband, painter Donald Greig RSMA. She works mainly in oils, landscape, still life, figures and interiors - often subjects at village shows and carnivals

In 1974 she was awarded a silver medal (Medaille d'Argent) at the Paris Salon and the same year was elected to membership of the New English Art Club and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. In 1977 she was elected to membership of the RWA.

Rita Greig's work has been shown at the Royal Academy, RWA, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, New English Art Club and Patterson Fine Arts.

Her work is included in the permanent collections of the RWA, Chase Manhattan Bank Collection and the Bishop Otter Collection, University College.
