To tie in with the RWA’s leading exhibition Frink-Blow-Lawson which celebrates three seminal British female artists, this two day course will involve sculpting a female form in clay. There will be a life model, and the tutor will give guidance on how to use terracotta clay to make a finished terracotta sculpture that can later be fired. Sculpting from direct observation, participants may want to make a precise representation of the model, or experiment with more expressive versions, and various approaches will be discussed on the course.
