The RWA has signed up to the Kids in Museums manifesto as part of our commitment to making family visits more enjoyable.

As part of this, we’ve drawn up a ‘Can Do’ list, detailing the sorts of things families can do while at the RWA:

You CAN come in for free if you are under 16.
You CAN visit the cafe and use our highchairs and books.
You CAN use the lifts for pushchair access.
You CAN use our baby change toilets and facilities.

You CAN pick up a children’s activity sheet at reception.
You CAN ask at reception for paper and crayons for children to take around the gallery.
You CAN take photos and make sketches while in the Gallery.
You CAN come to our monthly ‘Scribble and Sketch’ drop in event.

You CAN attend activities and workshops related to our most current exhibition.
You CAN ask staff and volunteers any questions about the exhibitions.
You CAN arrange a group visit.
You CAN make suggestions for family events or activities that you would be interested in attending.
You CAN make suggestions as to how we could make the gallery more family friendly.

You CAN sign up to our mailing list to receive information on family friendly activities.
You CAN pick up a programme with all our upcoming family-friendly exhibitions and events.
You CAN keep up-to-date by checking the Families section of our website.
