| In
making observations about art in general Isaac comments that… |

| 'Most
artists paint in the form of a journey. It may be a search for an aesthetic
principle. It is usually a search for ways of doing certain painterly things
or even better to discover the identity of the painter himself…….There is
often a great deal of intuitive hitting and missing before a comfortable
pathway is chanced upon.' |
