For full information and booking click here

The Friends of the RWA are offering a unique opportunity to participate in a cruise on the River Thames, taking in a truly different view of London, and passing some of its best historical landmarks, including: Cleopatra's Needle, the South Bank, St Paul's Cathedral, The Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge, Docklands and Canary Wharf. We will see The Thames Barrier - This is the worlds largest movable flood barrier, completed in 1982 it spans 520 metres across the Thames at Woolwich. We disembark at Greenwich where you will have the afternoon free to drink in the atmosphere, the shops and the market or visit one of the many attractions including The National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House, the Old Royal Naval College, and the Cutty Sark - the view across London from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park is outstanding.

The coach departs from All Saints
Church, Pembroke Road, Clifton at 8am
arriving at approx. 11am at Westminster.

From there we will catch the boat to the Thames
Barrier and then on to Greenwich where we hope
to arrive at about 1.30pm.

(Opportunities for refreshments on the boat are
limited but there are many bars, restaurants and
cafes in Greenwich). We will depart from
Greenwich at 5.30pm by coach to arrive back in
Bristol by. 9pm.

The cost of the trip is £30 per person, which
includes the driver's gratuity and your cruise
