The RWA having been in existence for well over a hundred years, many famous Artists and important contributors to the Academy as well as to the furtherment of British art have lived and died during this time. To celebrate past as well as current Academicians contributions, in this section we are compiling biographical details and samples of work by those that went before, to compliment the work that continues today. We shall add to this continuing retrospective whenever possible.
