Fan Lee

Fan Lee, an artist in contemporary ink painting and calligraphy.

Founder of "Fan Art"; Visual Art Consultant for Zheng Art; and columnist for some art magazines.

Her works have been widely exhibited in Hong Kong, China, Macau, the UK, and Korea, some of which are now in the collections of local and overseas public institutions and private collectors.

Fan composes her artworks as a wordless tribute to mother nature, life and the environment. Her works celebrate the beauty of nature and through a sentimental interpretation of this beauty, she hopes to evoke a rethinking of the relationship of humanity and nature; seeking the resonance of audiences who share the same aspiration for nature and seeing the same urgency for its preservation in this growing planet.

Fan’s ink paintings are characterized by the applying of ink brushes, nuance and tonality delicately manifested to capture the transient moments of lights and shadows, landscapes and nature.  They  embody both oriental and western aesthetics and bring to the audiences a realm of ethereality that characterizes oriental paintings, yet with a feeling of Western Romanticism

While majoring in ink painting, Fan also embraces the use of other media such as photographs, printmaking, sculpture or installation adopting the concepts of environmental conservation and public engagement.
