Silence represents the need for extreme liberty, extreme intensity of feeling and absolute spiritual freedom. The removal of reality, subject matter, storyline and artistic outer beauty or self expression. There is a certain language, an inner knowing of strange but deep information which arises out of a dialogue with ones self. When time and space allows that quiet place in isolation where knowledge is revealed. The simplicity of the mark – without any artifice, enables the transcribing of a personal language. Both ancient and contemporary in their simplicity, these fundamental marks set up rhythms allowing knowledge and information to be understood in the vibration. Our culture today is shaped by symbols and society believes these crude images are the realities they describe. In my work, there is no object or image to avoid associate symbolic thoughts. No design or focus, instead the marks form and reform, a pulse comes and goes the flow of energy creating a visual morphic sound field. The repetitive lines creating an enormous flow of energy. The ancients knew that everything is in a state of flux and vibration. Every organ, bone and tissue in the body has its own resonant frequency. In our deepest centre we are as T.S Elliot put it:
