Seymour-Conway Title Fountain Ganel Date 1960's object Drawing Media conte Size 55 x 75 cm Ref 414 Purchased in the 114th RWA Annual Exhibition in 1966 Other websites featuring this artist's work www.rwa.org.uk/memfrm.htm Fountain Ganel The drawing of “Fountain Ganel” is made with black and white conte on white cartridge paper. It is one of many such done by me in the 1960s. The house is in Moylegrove, Pembrokeshire; a village by the sea which stays as unspoilt today as it was then. The Pembrokeshire buildings are made of stone and plastered and painted white. Unfortunately, the roofs which are grouted in a cement mixture, have a tendency to gradually sink the building. This is especially so when, because they leak, they receive another layer of grout. All this of course gives them their unique character. back |
