Blue and Golden Ochre Landscape
‘Blue and Golden Ochre Landscape’ was produced by initially stretching a heavy cartridge paper on board, allowing it to dry and then priming in preparation for use.

Using mixed media as a starting point, an intuitive struggle then ensued and through a process of rigirous discipline and simpliciaction, eventually an image emerged corresponding to an inner need for harmony and wholeness.

The dark background (paynes grey painted over and subduing an electric blue) frames and intensifies the image, which is suggestive of a view seemingly seen through a window.
