Entirely Abstract
Elsie Few was born in 1909 and studied at the Royal College of Art. She was a member of ' the London Group' of painters and in 1937 she married the painter Claude Rogers, one of the founders of the 'Euston Road' school of which she was also a member.

Elsie Few worked in many formats, oil, watercolour, painting landscapes and townscapes - but her later favoured format was that of collage, sometimes simple, carefully cut or torn materials, other times either arranged, ripped and painted over in glazes or dots and stripes of solid colour in a manner influenced in part by the Merz pictures of Kurt Schwitters.

Her work is in many public collections, including Tate Britain.

Elsie Few in died 1980.
