Silver Spot
This work has a simple rectangular structure emphasised by marked changes in tone and colour temperatures. The reddish brown irregular square hanging from the horizontal axis fits exactly within the same coloured loop attached to the top left hand vertical; a positive and a negative point of departure.

Across this structure, smaller shapes float or line up: the rhythms finally punctuated by the sole silver and pink spots.

The shapes have, in the main, been torn rather than cut from papers and fabrics; surfaces painted or marked using various media. The torn edges and transparent washes with fortuitous textures lend a softness and depth to the geometry and affect the resulting mood of the picture.
